Aria Pro II PW70

My old Aria that I got back in 1980 is looking a bit dinged but I had it properly set up a few years ago which gave it a new lease of life.  These old Arias were made in Japan and were great value for money considering the quality of woods used.  Mine has the usual Sitka spruce top but it’s the Macassar Ebony back and sides that makes it particularly appealing.  The woods are all solid although I think the fretboard is ebonised Rosewood rather than the Ebony it’s trying to mimic.  The Tree of Life inlay is very pretty but not quite as immaculately inlaid as people would expect these days - even on fairly cheap guitars.  I shall never sell it despite the fact that it rarely gets a look in these days.

Ovation 6773 Country Artist

This is a nylon Ovation which I bought second-hand from a chap via eBay in 2004 - it was built in 1996.  It’s a custom model and is actually a dark forest green (officially called Cadillac Green by Ovation) which makes it a true one-of-a-kind.  I‘ve recently tried selling it on eBay but didn’t have any serious interest in it so I’ll try again in a few weeks time.  If I can sell it I’ll put the money in my “Build-to-order Taylor” fund for when I eventually make up my mind on all the details I’d like.
