My Santa Cruz OM/PWM was ordered from Artisan Guitars, Franklin, Tennessee in November 2007 and was received by me in the UK in February 2008 - pretty good going if you ask me!  Bill and Ellie Warmouth are great people to deal with as they’re knowledgeable and really friendly and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience...and boy do they know how to pack a guitar when it’s shipped overseas.

The OM/PWM is obviously an Orchestra Model; the PW stands for pre-war which refers to the internal bracing and the M is for the mahogany back and sides.  I ordered a couple of custom features not normally associated with this model, namely a German spruce top in place of Sitka spruce as it’s considered to impart a well rounded, lush and balanced sound, plus I ordered a slightly narrower neck width of 1 11/16” rather than 1 3/4”.

It’s a simple but very elegant guitar and sounds gorgeous - very responsive and sweet.
